Studying Psychology at the University of Arizona, and later earning a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Boston University, shaped how I think about connection: how people communicate and what helps them feel understood.

Alongside began almost by accident. A number of years ago, a friend connected me with her grandmother, who had recently moved to the area. Her family worked long hours and lived too far away to help with everyday needs - so I stepped in. We ran errands, shared coffee, and became friends.

Word spread. Soon, friends of hers began reaching out. Before long, I was spending time with a number of wonderful older adults who wanted to remain active, independent, and connected while enjoying the company of someone they trusted.

What started as one relationship revealed a larger need: companionship built on trust, not just tasks. That realization led me to found Alongside, LLC, a lifestyle support service centered on genuine relationships that help older adults stay independent, engaged, and connected to their communities.
